Mentoring

Limerick County Enterprise Board is offering one to one mentoring to enable businesses to resolve specific issues that cannot be addressed through our standard training course.  The decision to grant one to one mentoring ultimately lies with the evaluation committee of the Limerick County Enterprise Board, and is capped to a fixed amount. The Enterprise Board will part finance the mentoring, 20% of the cost must be bourn by the applicant.

What is a Mentor?

A mentor is an experienced advisor who acts in a complementary role to the entrepreneur by guiding, coaching, and bring his or her technical knowledge and expertise to various problems and situations. The act as a catalyst in facilitating the development needs of the entrepreneur.

The Procedure

The owner-manager of the small business in conjunction with a member of staff from the Enterprise Board identifies an area where specialist advice is needed.
The enterprise Board then selects the mentor best suited for the assignment from the panel of mentors available.

Who is Mentoring available to?

• All registered businesses in County Limerick, with less than 10 employees.

Confidentiality

Under Section 43 of the Industrial Development Act 1986, a mentor shall not disclose any information obtained while performing his or her duties as a mentor. All information is treated in strictest confidence.
